Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 30, 2025.
The mobile application 'Paisa Monitor' (referred to as the 'App') is owned and operated by Paisa Monitor (Proprietor). This App is intended for use by retail shop owners and small business operators. It offers features such as generating receipts, tracking daily sales, and managing business expenses (collectively referred to as the 'Services').
This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") outlines our privacy practices regarding the use of the App.
This document is published in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its associated rules, which require publishing the rules and regulations, including the privacy policy, on an online platform. We request that you carefully read this Privacy Policy before using the App and accessing the Services.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, 'we,' 'us,' and 'our' refer to the Paisa Monitor (Proprietor). The terms 'you,' 'your,' or 'user' refer to the person who installs, accesses, or uses the App and avails of the Services in any manner or capacity.
The protection and security of your personal and business-related information are our top priorities. We have taken all reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of user information and its transmission over the internet or through cloud services.
By using our Services and the App, or by providing us with your information under the Terms of Use available at our Terms & Conditions, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. You also expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personal and business-related information (as defined below) as described in this Privacy Policy, thereby signifying your agreement. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use our App or share any of your information with us in any manner.
1. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Which Information We Collect?
We collect and process various types of information through your access and use of the Paisa Monitor app ("App") and its Services. This includes:
· Email ID: Collected during Google/E-mail Sign-In via Firebase Authentication, used for account identification and subscription management.
· Profile Details: Business name, address, logo, and contact number, stored locally on your device. These details are used solely to display and print on receipts generated by the app.
· Transaction Data: This includes billing, sales, and expense details—such as item names, amounts, dates, times, timestamps etc. These are stored locally on your device and also backed up using Firebase to allow access across sessions and prevent data loss. This data is essential to the core functionality of the app.
· Subscription Data: Email ID, contact number, and other relevant details during payment processes are collected to validate and manage user subscriptions.
· App Performance and Analytics: We use third-party services such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Firebase, and other libraries to monitor app usage, debug issues, and improve the user experience.
All this information—whether directly provided or automatically collected—is collectively referred to as “Personal Information.”
Permissions Collected
Our app requests the following permissions to function properly and deliver a seamless experience:
· Bluetooth: BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_SCAN
· Location Access: ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
· Internet & Network: INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
· Storage Access: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (for devices on Android 10 and below)
· Advertisement & Analytics: ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID,
com.google.android.finsky.permission.BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE,
com.google.android.providers.gsf.permission.READ_GSERVICES
· Biometric Authentication: USE_BIOMETRIC, USE_FINGERPRINT
· Device & Power Management: WAKE_LOCK
· Custom App Permissions: DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION
We only request permissions those are essential to the app’s functionality. You will be asked to grant these permissions when needed, and you can manage them from your device settings.
2. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
We gather information using multiple methods:
2.1. Direct Collection
When you sign in with Google/E-mail, we collect your email ID through Firebase Authentication.
When you manually input business details, sales, expenses, or billing data, that information is stored locally and optionally synced to Firebase.
2.2. Cookies, IP Address & Device Data
While the Paisa Monitor app is not a website, some integrated tools and libraries (like Firebase Analytics) may use device identifiers, IP addresses, or cookies.
Device information such as OS version, device model, usage timestamps, and performance data may be collected to enhance functionality and troubleshoot issues.
2.3. Third-Party SDKs and Services
We integrate third-party tools like Firebase, Google Analytics, and Facebook Pixel, which may independently collect data such as user behaviour, screen views, app crashes, or custom events.
These tools may use identifiers or tags to track usage patterns or facilitate user support and engagement.
Note: We advise reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party providers to understand how they manage your data. While we require them to protect your information, their handling of data may be governed by their own terms.
3. USE OF INFORMATION
The Personal Information collected is used for the following purposes:
· To Enable App Functionality: Your business details and transaction data are critical for generating bills, tracking expenses, and managing sales, which are the primary services of the Paisa Monitor app.
· To Manage Subscriptions: Information like your email ID and contact number is used to verify your subscription status and manage access to premium features.
· To Improve Performance: Analyzing app usage, identifying bugs, and enhancing user experience through crash logs and event tracking.
· To Personalize Content: Displaying your saved business details on bills and summaries.
· To Communicate with You: Sending necessary transactional messages such as subscription confirmations or policy updates.
· To Ensure Security and Compliance: Detecting fraudulent activity or misuse, and enforcing terms of use and this privacy policy.
· For Legal and Internal Purposes: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, managing backups, and internal research.
We do not sell or rent your personal information for advertising purposes.
Why We Collect Permissions?
We collect and use the above permissions strictly for the following purposes:
· Bluetooth Permissions: Used to connect with external Bluetooth printers. This is essential for smooth printing and device integration.
· Location Permissions: Required by Android for detecting and scanning nearby Bluetooth devices. We do not collect or store your actual location.
· Internet & Network Permissions: Needed to sync your data with cloud database (e.g., Firebase), check for app updates, and enable features that rely on network connectivity.
· Storage Permissions: Used to export and save reports (like PDF bills or receipts) to your device. This allows you to view, share, or print records as needed.
· Advertisement & Analytics Permissions: These are used for ad personalization, install attribution, and performance measurement through services like Google Ads and Play Store Install Referrer.
· Biometric Authentication Permissions: To allow secure access to the app via fingerprint or biometric login, enhancing security and user convenience.
· Wake Lock Permission: Prevents the device from sleeping during important operations such as printing or syncing, ensuring a smooth experience.
· Custom App Permission: DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION is used internally for app-specific broadcast receivers. It does not involve collecting or sharing personal data.
We do not use these permissions to access your personal files or share any data without your consent
4. SHARING OF INFORMATION
With Support or Technical Teams
We may share data that we have about you (excluding sensitive details like your full profile or billing data) with technical support teams or development teams for troubleshooting, improving app features, or addressing queries. This may include transaction logs, crash reports, or usage patterns—but never includes your personal financial information.
With Third Parties
We use various third-party services and tools, such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and others to enhance the app's functionality and performance. These tools may collect limited Personal Information, such as your device type, IP address, app usage, and preferences.
Additionally, we may share non-personally identifiable, aggregated demographic or analytical data with trusted third-party service providers for insights, performance improvements, and analytics. This data does not identify you as an individual.
We are not liable for any unintended disclosure of Personal Information resulting from failure of third-party services, cyber-attacks, or events beyond our control, such as force majeure or service vulnerabilities.
For Subscription and Payment Services
When you purchase a subscription within the app, your contact details (such as email address and phone number) may be shared with payment gateway providers and invoicing tools solely to process your payments and deliver related services.
For Targeted Advertising
We may share certain non-sensitive information—such as app usage, IP address, and device type—with third-party platforms (such as Meta, Google, or others) for the purposes of serving targeted advertisements or promotional content, including retargeting. This data is used to enhance your user experience and ensure you receive relevant updates.
We do not share personal financial data or bill entries with any advertising service.
Regulatory Disclosures
We may disclose your Personal Information when legally required to do so, or if we believe such disclosure is necessary:
· To comply with legal obligations, government or law enforcement requests.
· To protect the safety, rights, and property of the app, its users, or the public.
· To detect, investigate, or prevent fraud or misuse.
· To enforce the Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy.
These disclosures may be done without notice if legally mandated.
5. SECURITY OF INFORMATION
We are committed to safeguarding your data. We employ commercially reasonable security measures—including Firebase’s encryption, secure storage protocols, and device-level protections—to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, or alteration of your Personal Information.
Profile details such as business name, contact number, and address are stored locally on your device only and not uploaded to any remote server, which adds an extra layer of privacy control for you.
Access to any data backed up on Firebase is restricted to authorized app functions and backend services only, and it is stored in a secure, authenticated environment.
However, despite our best efforts, you acknowledge that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
You accept that by using the app, there are inherent risks involved in transmitting data over the internet or using cloud-based services. We shall not be held liable for any loss, leakage, or exposure of data due to:
· Unauthorized third-party access.
· Technical failures or bugs.
· Acts beyond our reasonable control (e.g., attacks, disasters).
In the event of a data breach involving your information, we will notify you at the earliest opportunity and take necessary corrective actions as per our capabilities.
6. YOUR RIGHTS

However, we are not liable for the accuracy of information you provide and do not monitor real-time changes unless notified.
Opt-Out Procedures
You may opt out of receiving non-essential communications (e.g., promotional updates) by emailing the Grievance Officer. Please note that transactional or account-related communications are necessary for continued use of the app and cannot be opted out of.
7. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal, technical, or business requirements. Any changes will be posted within the app or sent to you via email, where feasible. Your continued use of the Paisa Monitor app following any update shall be deemed as your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for the latest information.
8. EXCLUSION
This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by us through the Paisa Monitor mobile application, as described in the “Collection of Information” section. It does not apply to:
· Information available in the public domain.
